Terms of Use

Small Spotter Directory is a directory designed for owner-led small businesses with fewer than 50 employees, including solo entrepreneurs, freelancers, independent professionals, and very small teams. Submitting a listing does not guarantee that it will be approved or published.

Small Spotter Directory may review, verify, edit for formatting or clarity, request changes, reject, suspend, unpublish, or remove any listing at its discretion. Not every business or submission will qualify or be approved, and we are not required to provide a reason for rejection or removal.

Approval of a listing is not an endorsement, certification, or guarantee of that business. Listings are provided for informational purposes only.

By submitting a listing, you confirm that:

• The information you provide is truthful, current, and not misleading.
• You own the business, or you have permission to submit and manage its information on its behalf.
• You have all rights or permissions needed to provide any logos, photographs, descriptions, trademarks, and other materials included with the listing.

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By submitting content to Small Spotter Directory, you grant Small Spotter Directory a nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, resize, crop, distribute, and use the submitted business name, logo, photographs, description, contact details, and other listing content for the purpose of operating and promoting the directory.

This license includes use on Small Spotter Directory websites, directory pages, search results, social media, emails, digital or printed promotional materials, and advertising related to the directory.

Small Spotter Directory will not materially misrepresent your business or imply an endorsement that you did not provide.

You may request removal of your listing, or request that your submitted content no longer be used in future promotional materials, by contacting us through the site. Materials that have already been published, sent, printed, or distributed may not always be immediately retractable.

You agree not to submit content that is:

• False, misleading, fraudulent, illegal, discriminatory, or abusive.
• Infringing on another person's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
• Harmful, harassing, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate.
• Related to franchises, large agencies, or other businesses that do not meet the directory's eligibility requirements.

Small Spotter Directory may reject or remove any submission that violates these rules.

If you create an account to submit or manage listings, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

SmallSpotter may offer visitors the option to make voluntary one-time, monthly, or yearly support payments to help maintain and grow the directory and its free resources. Financial support is optional and is separate from listing eligibility, listing approval, directory placement, and any paid Featured Profile or advertising service.

Support payments are processed by PayPal on PayPal's hosted website. By completing a payment through PayPal, you are also subject to PayPal's applicable terms, payment rules, and privacy practices. SmallSpotter does not collect or store your full payment-card or bank-account credentials.

Recurring support may be canceled through the payment provider. Canceling recurring support does not affect an eligible business's free listing, review status, or access to public SmallSpotter resources.

Voluntary support to SmallSpotter is not represented as a charitable contribution and is not represented as tax-deductible. Support payments do not purchase ownership, voting rights, equity, charitable status, or any guaranteed business benefit.

If you believe a support payment was made in error, please contact us promptly. Refund requests, if approved, will be handled through the payment provider and in accordance with applicable law and provider requirements.

Your use of Small Spotter Directory is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared. The site uses essential cookies or browser storage for security, authentication, remembering privacy choices, and requested functions.

SmallSpotter also offers optional listing-view measurement and optional third-party embedded content, currently Google Maps. Optional Analytics and External content are disabled until you allow them through the site's privacy choices. You may change either preference later through Cookie Settings in the footer.

PayPal is currently used through outbound links to PayPal-hosted payment pages rather than through an embedded SmallSpotter payment script. Cookies and similar technologies used on PayPal's website are governed by PayPal's own practices and are not controlled by SmallSpotter's Cookie Settings.

Small Spotter Directory lists third-party businesses and may link to third-party websites, including payment services such as PayPal. We do not control these businesses or websites and are not responsible for their content, products, services, payment processing, privacy practices, or other practices. Any transaction or relationship you enter into with a listed business is solely between you and that business.

We do not promise that every listing is verified. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, licensing, accuracy, or reliability of any listed business or of the information they provide. You should independently confirm anything important to you before hiring or transacting with a listed business.

We work to keep Small Spotter Directory available, but we do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of vulnerabilities. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time.

The Small Spotter Directory name, logo, website design, and original directory content are owned by Small Spotter Directory or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our permission, except as needed to view the site in the normal course of use.

Small Spotter Directory is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any listing is accurate, complete, or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Small Spotter Directory and its owners, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the site, any listing, or any voluntary support-payment feature.

You agree to indemnify and hold Small Spotter Directory and its owners, contributors, and service providers harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your submissions, your use of the site, or your violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site or remove any listing at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we decide to discontinue a feature or the site.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Small Spotter Directory is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
