About the Business
Designs by CC is a jewelry studio and retail shop in Portland, Maine’s Old Port, owned by designer and jeweler Cheryl Cook. We create and sell handcrafted jewelry, including rings, pendants, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, engagement rings, wedding bands, gemstone pieces, and designs featuring Maine tourmaline and other stones. Our custom design service can also transform customers’ existing stones and precious metals into newly designed pieces. We also provide jewelry repair and restoration services, including ring sizing, soldering, prong repair, stone replacement, engraving, plating, cleaning, chain and bracelet repair, bead restringing, and other restoration work in materials such as sterling silver, gold, and platinum. Appraisal services include insurance and estate appraisals, as well as updates to existing appraisals. Designs by CC has operated from 7 Pleasant Street in Portland since 1992. Customers can visit the shop Tuesday through Saturday, shop selected jewelry online, or contact us to discuss repairs, appraisals, custom pieces, and redesign projects.
