About the Business
Mountain Trail Soap Company creates handcrafted soaps and self-care products in Tryon, North Carolina. Founded by Robert S. Mangum, our business grew from more than 20 years of soapmaking experience that began when Robert developed handmade soap recipes for his sons’ dry and irritated skin. Handmade soap remains at the center of what we offer, with products made in small batches using carefully selected ingredients. Our product line extends beyond soap to soy candles, beard oils, body and face scrubs, body oils, shampoo bars, vegan soap varieties, and seasonal or specialty products. The online shop includes products such as The Legacy Bar, vegan soap bars, Brown Sugar Face Scrub, Pink Sugar Body Scrub, beard oils, and Sweet Tryon Soy Candle. Customers can shop in person at our downtown Tryon storefront or order products through our website. The store is located at 152 N. Trade Street and publishes regular hours Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
